AMI launches Nexis tracking solution

08 September 2014

UK-based IT solutions provider AMI has launched a new, online fleet management and tracking system called AMI Nexis.

Using GPS tracking devices and RF technology, the internet-based system enables fleet managers to track and manage their assets from any location.

Users can log on from an iPhone or android Smartphone, via a tablet or laptop, or with a mobile phone compatible with Symbian and Java to monitor machinery and site equipment, track goods and valuable assets in transit, and supervise lone workers.

The site also includes maps, trackers, alerts, reminders, a list of drivers and an easy to view overall summary. A route optimiser function also locates the quickest route in order to drive down fuel and vehicle expenditure.

Iain Anderson, joint managing director of rental company GAP Group, said, “We are really excited about AMI Nexis and its ability to transform the way in which businesses operate.

"Now businesses have the power and control to ensure that their assets are protected and their staff are safe no matter where they are in the world. It’s the most advanced and comprehensive tracking system available in the market today.”
