One of Brokk's latest 400 model remote control demolition machines has been supplied to Lenpart Group, who is using it on a flood defense project in Glasgow, UK.

The machine is intended to take the place of 15 tonne crawler excavators lowered into the 2,300 cubic meter flood tank to hammer out the hard granite rock. The Brokk 400, the largest in the Brokk range, replaces a Brokk 330 to increase productivity as well as provide a fume-free environment. The machine is teamed with an Atlas Copco SB 552 to carry out the work.

According to Sean Siddons of Lenpart: "This is a very important contract for us and after speaking to Brokk UK Ltd, the latest addition to the Brokk range with its phenomenal power was the only way forward, and with this being the first in the UK, it is good to see in the current economic climate the continued innovation investment Brokk is doing."
