The company will now use Ideagen’s Q-Pulse software, and said it expected it to improve its processes, including saving time and costs for its customers in more than 100 countries.

Aggreko will use the software at operational hubs on each major continent, with a new global procurement team managing each region from their hubs.

Aggreko said the system would enable it to conduct 200 supplier audits per year and carry out calibration and asset maintenance assessments of equipment currently in use. Live data from the system will allow Aggreko management to quickly assess trends and potential risks from across the business.

Ideagen is a UK-headquartered software management solutions company, which offers seven software products.

Martin Dolan, Aggreko’s global head of supplier quality and development, said it represented a huge project for the business; ”A company of our size, and with our global reach, needs a state of the art supplier management system.

“The power to have live data globally will allow us to instantly act on emerging trends. Q-Pulse will help us to be more risk-averse in our approach to how we manage data. It will present us with live data from our manufacturing processes, highlight trends within that data and spark that will help us identify potential issues before they develop into more serious operational problems.”
