Alimak to acquire UK BMU specialist

Alimak Group has today entered into an agreement to acquire the shares of Cento Engineering Group, a UK-based building maintenance unit (BMU) engineering and service provider. 

Cento Engineering Group has been Alimak Group’s UK distributor of its Manntech BMUs for more than 20 years, and provides installation, maintenance, spare parts and inspections for BMUs across the UK. The company was founded in 1995 and has a wealth of expertise

within their team, said Alimak. Its head office is located in Chelmsford, in the London area.

“I am pleased to welcome Cento Engineering Group into Alimak Group. This acquisition will further strengthen our standing as the market leading BMU service provider in the UK and will help grow our service business”, said Ole Kristian Jødahl, CEO Alimak Group.

Cento Engineering Group’s revenue in 2020 amounted to £5.1 million (US$7 million), and the company will become a part of Alimak Group’s BMU division.
