UK HVAC and pump hire specialist Andrew Sykes Group has officially opened its newly refurbished premises and depot at Peninsular Park, Charlton.

The new 6850 m2 facility has almost double the capacity of the previous premises, which was also located in Charlton. The new depot will enable Andrew Sykes to expand its fleet size and bring its air conditioning team under one roof.

“Every effort has been made to build in the latest facilities to meet the current and future needs of the business, whilst having regard to our environmental impact", said Paul Wood, managing director at Andrews Sykes.

"We’re all excited about the new depot but equally pleased that the move is only just down the road - Charlton has been the home of one or more parts of our business for over 80 years”.

Opening the new depot were Olympic silver medal winner Gemma Gibbons and Charlton Athletic FC manager Chris Powell.

The new depot will allow a more efficient turnaround of equipment, making it available for hire faster, and the range of stock held in one location will improve the speed of response to the London area and to other depots when they need to draw on the Charlton stock.
