Austrian debut for Sandvik QJ241 jaw crusher
07 March 2012
Sandvik has supplied the first QJ241tracked jaw crusher in Austria to Poyss Gesmbh, based in Poysdorf. With the new machine, Poyss now operates three mobile screening plants and two mobile crushers that are used for the production of raw materials for construction as well as the recycling of used construction materials, using the impact and jaw crushers either together as a single train or independently.
The QJ241 is Sandvik's smallest mobile unit, weighing in at 34 tonnes and suitable for transport on lowboy trailers. It has a maximum throughput of 225 tph but in Poyss' recycling operation, it can produce between 120 and 150 tph when producing a 0/70 mm end product. The machine was supplied to Poyss through Sandvik's Austrian distribution partner BAG Kloch Aufbereitungstechnik.
Leopold Poyss settled on the QJ241 having seen it at the Steinexpo show in June last year. He said of the machine: "We were so impressed with the demonstrations, particularly with all the developments in the detail of the machinery that really have advanced this proven technology even further."
In mid-November 2011, he decided on the Sandvik QJ241, which was duly delivered by BAG to Poysdorf in three weeks, thereby complying with AWG regulations.
