As well as the unveiling of the 17SR, the Kobelco stand will feature a range of excavators including its largest yet, the SK850LC-10E

Named the 17SR, the company said the fully electric machine will be able to perform at the top of its class, with zero emissions, low noise operation and reduced life cycle costs.

The development of the electric mini excavator concept is a joint endeavour with German engine manufacturer Deutz.

Kobelco said the concept, once realised, would feature a long-life battery and would be available on the European market in 2021. Kobelco added that its future plans are focused on expanding advanced technologies to promote a sustainable society.

Kobelco will have a significant presence at Bauma, at which the company said it will exhibit a range of over 25 excavators and crawler cranes.
