Böhler takes 100 tonne Liebherr
26 July 2011
Crane rental and vehicle recovery company Auto Böhler in Germany has added another Liebherr all terrain crane to its fleet.
The new LTM 1100-4.2 will mainly be used in the rental sector. Auto Böhler already has eight mobile cranes from 30 to 130 tonnes capacity and all are Liebherr. This has benefits in terms of uniformity and consistency in control layout, according to the company. The newcomer replaces a 90 tonne capacity LTM 1090/2.
Karlsruhe-based Auto Böhler has six other branches and a 100-strong workforce. Its fleet is more than 70 vehicles. The company was established in 1919 and is managed by the third generation of the Böhler family. Klaus Böhler, managing partner, said it is the largest recovery and service operation dealing with cars and trucks in the Baden region. It was one of the first partners of ADAC, the German automobile association, in the early 1950s.
