A German rental company has set its new 500 tonne capacity Liebherr mobile crane to work erecting wind turbines.

J Bruns GmbH & Co KG, based in Hilde-sheim, took delivery of the Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1 in April. Besides wind turbines, the machine will also be used for industrial assemblies.

Frank Bruns, company director, said he was attracted to the crane's quick assembly, which would aid jobsite relocation, along with its low fuel consumption and high driving speeds.

Bruns operates 20 cranes, half of which are Liebherrs. The company added that more Leibherr crane orders would follow in the future.
