CRH names new bosses

CRH chief executive Myles Lee.

CRH has appointed Myles Lee as group chief executive designate. He will take over at the head of the construciton materials giant at the end of this year on the retirement of current chief executive Liam O'Mahony.

Mr Lee is a civil engineer and accountant who joined CRH in 1982. He joined the board in November 2003 as finance director.

The company has also created a new post of group chief operating officer (COO), which will be filled by Albert Manifold in January. Mr Manifold has been with the company since 1998 in a variety of seniot positions including group development director. He has been managing director of CRH's Europe Materials division since July 2007.
