Canary Islands receives first Easy Lift spiders

Equipment provider Maquinas Opein has become the owner of the first ever Easy Lift aerial platforms in the Canary Islands, Spain.

The company, which is based in Las Palmas on the island of Gran Canaria and offers machine rental and sales services across the Spanish archipelago, recently took delivery of four R130 spider lifts.

With its subsidiaries spread throughout the Canary Islands and branches in Morocco and Ghana, Maquinas Opein was said to have chosen the model for its easy operation and compact size. 

One of the smallest spiders in Easy Lift’s range, the R130 has maximum working height of 12.2m and an outreach of 6.5m.

While the model is available in both lithium battery and diesel versions, Maquinas Opein’s new machines have been equipped with and 9.6kW petrol engines from Honda and AC motors.

They also feature a 200kg capacity basket and have been fitted with non-marking tracks.

Maquinas Opein, which has been serving customers in the construction, power and sanitation industries for more than 25 years, also chose to add Easy Lift’s optional inclinometer with acoustic alarm feature to its new T130s. Th electronic sensor means users can level the machine at 0 degrees for added stability.

The new units will be added to the company’s fleet of self-propelled, scissor and truck-mounted aerial platforms, and will be rented out to both public and private customers.
