Carrier Rentals supplied the cooling system that kept Ascot race goers cool.

The race goers to Royal Ascot, one of UK's most prestigious race meetings, were kept cool by six chillers provided by Carrier Rental Systems.

The massive grandstands (pictured) are in fact temporary structures put up in just three weeks. Carrier Rental Systems was involved from the outset ensuring that piping and cabling were properly integrated and managing to reduce the cost of service provision for the event organisers.

Having taken all the important parameters into account Carrier positioned 70 smart interior air handling units. These units can use 100% recycled air reducing the power requirement and the chiller capacity by 50%. This reduces hire charges and reduces the running costs significantly. Because the system is heat pump driven heating could be provided in the empty spaces in the early morning.
