Wisconsin, USA-based Crane Services has taken delivery of its second National Crane NBT55 boom truck.

The company collected the 55 tonne capacity truck mounted crane during a visit to Manitowoc’s facilities in Shady Grove, Pennsylvania. It is the seventh National crane owned by Crane Services, and it will help increase its ability to quickly deliver lifting services, the company said.

Rick Mueller, Crane Services president, said the NBT55’s “very smooth controls and rock-solid operation” were factors in the company’s decision to purchase another boom truck.

“The NBT55 is extremely stable during use throughout its entire load chart,” he said. “It delivers great capacities like a truck crane, but it also has the comfort and highway speed of a commercial truck when out on the road.”

The company also has an NBT40 among its National Crane fleet.

The NBT55, which has a 128 foot (39 metre) boom and will also come with a 26 to 45 foot (7.9 to 13.7 m) telescoping offsettable jib, will primarily work on residential and commercial projects in Wisconsin, including steel erection and installation of HVAC units.

Crane Services bought the NBT55 from Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based Dawes Rigging & Crane Rental, a division of the All family of companies.
