Cranes At Big5 Middle East

19 March 2008

Middle East construction and contracting exhibition, the Big5, will take on a new dimension this year.

November's annual expo in Dubai will offer a large-scale sister event called the Big5 PMV. With 10,000 sq metres of exhibition space, theBig5 PMV will provide a platform for suppliers of heavy equipment and vehicles to meet buyers, which has not been possible before, due to restricted space.

Organisers forecast that demand for construction machinery in the Middle East will increase by up to 20% over the next five years, as an unprecedented level of development continues in the region.

The Arabian Gulf countries alone account for more than 2,100 existing and planned projects currently valued at US $ 1.2 trillion, the organizer claims.

Nick Webb, director of Streamline Marketing Group, which is organizing the Big 5 PMV alongside DMG World Media, explained, “The Big 5 PMV will allow suppliers ample indoor and outdoor exhibition space to showcase their products and services to key construction industry professionals, engineers, consultants and contractors.”

The Big5 will be held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre from November 25 to 29 and the Big5 PMV will be at Airport Expo Dubai at the same time. The two venues will be linked by a shuttle bus service.
