24 November 2009
Husqvarna will use the upcoming World of Concrete trade show in Las Vegas in eary February, 2010, to show a new addition to its demolition robot range in the shape of the DXR 250, a smaller version of its DXR 310. The new machine is a compact, lightweight but powerful machine with a fixed arm and a reach of 4.8 m (15.7 ft). Weighing in at 1,630 kg (3,586 lb), it is ideal for demolition activities both indoors and out. It comes as standard with a multi-purpose dozer blade.
The remote control system is state-of-the-art, with the control box featuring an easy to read 87.5 mm (3.5 in) colour display that uses industrial Bluetooth technology. It is mounted on a curved aluminium bar that the operator wears over the shoulder inside of a more conventional strap. This makes it easier to take off and is more comfortable and ergonomic.
