09 March 2016

Ruthmann has reported Versalift sales of €5.4 million in 2015.

The German manufacturer of truck mounts. This reflects a 70% increase in sales compared to the full year of 2012, after it bought Time Deutschland Versalift GmbH, along with the distribution and service rights for Versalift, five years ago.

“With the addition of Versalift aerial platforms, our product range in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland has been ideally enhanced,” said a Ruthmann spokesperson.

The organisation sold 60 units last year, among the most popular being: the 14.1m working height VT 140-F and the 17.1m working height VDT-170-F. Both models are van mounted platforms with a 5 tonne gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR). The most popular 3.5 tonne van model is the 12.9m working height ETL-36-130-F.

Municipalities, power providers, public utilities, and service providers specialising in street lighting and traffic signal maintenance have boosted sales dramatically, said the spokesperson, “Although we had already been well established in this sector prior to the Time Deutschland acquisition, we did not have an optimum selection of van mounted access platforms at the time.”

The company offers eight service centres, plus the growing network of service points in Germany and Austria, while partner company Hubitec looks after the needs of Versalift customers in Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
