Ausa's new Taurulift T 204 H compact telehandler is put through its paces at the recent SED exhibition in the UK.

Visitors to the International Rental Exhibition (IRE) - taking place at the Amsterdam RAI exhibition centre on 3-5 June – will see dozens of new products targeted at rental companies. Here is a selection from almost 50 of the 140 exhibitors at the show.

Alimak Hek
Alimak Hek will feature the new HEK Modular System range of mast climbing work and transport platforms and the high-speed Alimak Scando 650 FC-S hoist.

Al-VAC
The Mantis is a small, one-man operated, battery-powered mobile lifter, which offers great flexibility of use because of no need for fuel or power cable.

Ammann Schweiz
The new Rammax Viper trench compactor articulates and oscillates at its centre to enable "to have perfect contact to the soil which ensures a maximum compaction".

ATN
French aerial platform manufacturer ATN will launch its Piaf 1000R mast-style boom lift. The 2980 kg, 200 kg payload machine offers an outreach of 3.46 m and its mast rotates 2 x 110°. In stowed configuration, it is 1.98 m high and 1.03 m wide.

Ausa
This Spanish manufacturer will show its recently launched, compact, 4050 kg Tauralift T 204 H telehandler (pictured). It has a lift capacity of 2000 kg and maximum lift height of 5.1 m.

Avant Tecno Oy
Avant Tecno has upgraded its 500 series of tool carriers, giving them the same, off-set boom design as its 600 series and features for greater operator comfort and safety. The new model also has a 25% greater lifting capacity of 850 kg.

Baron Nordic
IRE will see the European launch of Baron's new belt conveyors for construction sites.

BBA Pumps
BBA has recently introduced economy versions of the mid-range PT 60 and PT 90 models, featuring a modified Hatz diesel engine with service intervals of 1500 hours.

Blastrac
Blastrac will show many new tools at IRE, including the 70 kg, 250 mm grinding width BGS-250 grinder, the 122 kg, BGP-250, heavy-duty grinding machine, and the 105 kg BMG-435, the smallest planetary grinder on the market, says the company. New shot blasters include the 150 kg, 1-8DPS30 and the 48 kg 1-7D, both with a 200 mm working width. Complementing Blastrac's hand tools is the new BDC-1216 dust collector.

Bobcat
Bobcat will show the smallest of its compact excavator range, the 1028 kg, conventional design E08 and the 1086 kg, zero tail swing E10. Both new machines dig to a maximum depth of 1.82 m. Also new and commemorating in 2008 the 50th anniversary of Bobcat's skid steer line will be the 2465 kg S130 model. It is a radial lift path, conventional wheelbase model, powered by a 34.3 kW Kubota V2203-E diesel engine.

Brendon Powerwashers
Brendon in the UK has put the "intelligent" Honda iGX petrol engine in the two models of its new Bowserwasher to give them greater performance and fuel efficiency, lower noise, cleaner exhaust emissions. The BBW 40 KPi delivers a maximum of 275 bar and the BBW 50 delivers 345 bar.

Camac
The Spanish manufacturer will show its new Eurolift hoist range with capacities from 1000 to 1500 kg and speeds from 40 to 60 m/min. On stand too will be the compact SMART rack-and-pinion hoist for use with tubular scaffolding.

Catalana de Motores
New from this Spanish company will be information on new technology to "get more from your tanks" and the new ISO-sized fuel container approved for worldwide transportation of fuel.

Boxer Equipment (Compact Power Inc)
Recently launched products include the Boxer 322D mini-skid steer and the company's first-ever dedicated trencher, the Boxer 118. Visitors could see, as well, the remote-controlled version of the 532DX loader.

Ditch Witch
Ditch Witch will show a selection of its new Zahn family of compact tool carriers, which consists of three power units with 2-wheel drive and a set of compatible front ends, including trenching attachments.

Doosan Infracore Portable Power
Leading the display of Doosan Infracore Portable Power's compressors will be the 7/41 compressor, which supplies 4.0 m3/min of compressed air at 7 bar. The 7/41 has a number of options including a bunded base and an integral 6.5 kVA generator. The company, formerly Ingersoll Rand Utility Equipment, will also show the G200 generator, one of the new 12-model range of PowerSource mobile and portable generator models with power outputs from 10 to 500 kVA.

Europower Generators
Europower says its New Boy range of compact generator sets offer excellent price/quality ratios, allowing rental companies to select from many options to build upon a basic version. Options include: custom colour, remote control, auto start/stop, trailer mounting, and bigger fuel tank. The line has Kubota engines and offers a range of features to reduce maintenance.

Faresin Handlers
Calling it the "crown jewel" of its range and one of the smallest telescopic handlers in the market, Faresin's 6.25 Wallaby can lift 2.5 t to 6 m. At the other end of the Italian company's range is the Roto 18.45, which features a 360° rotating platform and an Iveco Tier 3 engine.

Genie Industries
Genie Industries, exhibiting with Terex Construction, will show the new ‘SX' version of its GTH-4017 telehandler. The 4017SX is a rental version of the 16.7 m, 4000 kg capacity handler, with simpler controls and steering system.

GenQuip
New on its stand will be the Groundhog GD360, a portable site welfare facility. Expect also to see the Hoglift, a simple, low-cost, safety-enhancing system for attaching slings to containers and accommodation units.

GenSet
IRE will see the European launch of the soundproof, professional 300 A engine-driven welder, the MPM 8/300 S-Y, which has the latest 3000 rpm, water-cooled Yanmar engine series and the field-proven GenSet asynchronous alternator. The company will also show a new series of "super-silenced" diesel generators.

Godwin Pumps
US-based Godwin has expanded its Dri-Prime range with the 100 mm, portable CD103M pump, which lifts to 35 m, generates flows up to 227 m3/hr, and handles solids up to 75 mm in size.

Grindex
Grindex says it has tripled the wear resistance of its new submersible drainage pumps. It has given them a new hydraulics section with an enclosed impeller to prevent abrasive particles from reaching the vulnerable parts and reducing the performance drop caused by long-term wear.

Haulotte Group
IRE will host the continental European launch of the 28 m working height, telescopic boom H28 TJ+. The machine features a 6 m telescopic jib, outreach of 23 m, and lift capacity of 350 kg.

Hitachi Construction Machinery
New in the company's range of midi-excavators is the 6 t ZX6OUSB-3, and the smaller ZX17U is now available with a cab.

HTC Group
HTC has upgraded its multi-purpose floor grinder, HTC 420 VS, with a new, stronger chassis. The Swedish company is also using IRE to launch in Europe the vacuum models HTC 5 iAD, HTC 10 iAD and HTC 15 iAD for fitting to grinding machines. They feature automatic filter cleaning, an integrated pre-separator, a fine filter tube, and H13 filter.

Husqvarna
Making a world premiere is Husqvarna's electric power cutter, the K 3000. Its cutting method, the Cut-n-Break, allows users to cut up to 400 mm deep. Launched earlier and targeted specifically for rental is the petrol-powered K 750 cutter, based on Husqvarna's DualCharge technology. Husqvarna will also present its new handheld drill motor, the DM 230, and its new line of surface preparation equipment, based on the patented Dual Drive Technology.

ICS, Blount Europe
Prominent on the ICS stand will be its new petrol-powered saw, the 680GC. Beside it will be the Force4 diamond chain, having tensile strength 50% greater than previous chains and anti-stretch engineering that significantly increases chain life and reduces maintenance, said the company.

InspHire International
Rental software company InspHire will demonstrate its newly-developed Customer Relationship Management (CRM) package, created specifically for the rental industry. It is "intuitively simple to use", said the company.

JLG International
Making its first appearance at an international show in Europe will be JLG's super-compact, 2.5 t capacity model 2505 telehandler.

Kaeser Kompressoren
The smaller of the two portable compressors prominent on Kaeser's stand will be the M 50, whose Sigma Profile air end delivers air at 5 m3/min at 7 bar. That is enough to power three breakers, says the company. Bigger is the M 123, the latest product in the Mobilair range. It delivers 10.6 m3/min at 10 bar and is the first of its kind, says Kaeser, to have electronic engine control, the Sigma Control mobile feature, as standard.

Kosran ECV
Anti-theft specialist Kosran has recently integrated a Comms Keypad to its electro-mechanical ECV (Electronic Coded Valve) anti-theft device. The new component provides telematics capability over the Internet or via mobile phone to enable equipment owners to locate, change PIN, set curfew times, or shut down equipment from remote locations.

Manitou
On the stand will be models from the company's recently-launched MT Privilege range of telehandlers, which include "R" versions specifically for the rental market.

MCS
MCS will be launching the French version of its Customer Relationship Management application. It integrates fully within the core MCS rental application to manage the entire marketing process.

Pumpex
Pumpex has extended its professional range of submersible sludge pumps with the lightweight SP10 and SP14 models. They have the same modular design as Pumpex's larger sludge pumps, the Series SP, and are for heavy-duty applications. The company will exhibit its Professional series P1001-1501 dewatering pumps, in a new sturdy design, featuring new motors and improved pump tops. Also on its stand will be the new PumpFloater to safeguard operation and reduce maintenance costs.

Ritelite Systems
Small enough to fit into the boot of a family-sized car is Ritelite's new, three-section, metal halide lighting tower. It has four 500 W lamps and draws 2 kW of power. There are 3 m and 5 m versions available.

Rösler miniDaT
Germany's Rösler will show its recently introduced web-based version of the miniDaT machine data storage system, allowing users to track and see machine operating data over the Internet.

Schwamborn Baumaschinen
Schwamborn is showing two, new, three-head-grinding machines, the 135 to 160 kg, 530 mm working width DSM 530SL and the 290 to 340 kg, 650 mm working width DSM 650S. Both provide of contra-rotating grinding for removing of old coatings as well as for grinding and polishing of concrete, screed and natural stone floors.

SDMO
French generator manufacturer SDMO will exhibit its new remote monitoring system - using Qualcomm's GlobalTRACS - that links the generator via the Internet to rental companies. Visitors can also see its new lighting tower range, which has four 1000 W, metal iodide lamps, offers powered mast deployment and 330° mast rotation, and is mounted on either a road or construction site trailer.

Stanley Hydraulic Tools
Pride of place will be the Cyclone Drop Hammer concrete breaker, a breaker Stanley claimed will "dramatically increases productivity while reducing overall cost as well as the size of the carrier needed".

Sullair Europe
Sullair's latest addition to its Rental Compressor range is the S88 model. It pumps at 5 m³/min, and Sullair says simplicity and practicality were the most important design considerations. Also, making its world premier is the 5 kg chipping hammer, the latest addition to Sullair PAC80 SmartPressure family.

Terex Construction
Terex will show from its range of compact construction equipment, including its recently-released 2 t capacity TA2 site dumper. The show may also see one of the recently acquired ASV tracked loaders that Terex plans to launch in Europe before the end of the year.

Thwaites UK
Visitors to Thwaites' stand can expect to see its new 1.5 t capacity site dumper.

Towerlight
The VT-2, a derivative of the VT-1, will be on the stand, as well as Liquidator super-silenced pumps.

Trimble
Trimble will show its recently launched asset management system - which allows rental companies to remotely track and monitor their fleets -- and the Spectra Precision Laser HV101, a multi-purpose horizontal and vertical laser for a variety of interior and general construction applications.

TVH - Group Thermote & Vanhal
New from this leading supplier of spare parts is a hydraulic-electric power pack for retrofit to access platforms.

Wacker Neuson
The newest breaker on Wacker's stand will be the BH 24 petrol-powered breaker, which delivers 65 J of energy in each blow. Also new is the 1.2 m wide, Kramer model 250 wheel loader, which has 0.25 m3 bucket capacity.

Xena Systems
The new LoadSwift system provides a moveable loading bay for use on high-rise projects. The system comprises a 2.5 t cantilever crane and a steel platform that slides out over the edge of a building. The crane, located above the platform level, lifts and lowers platforms to desired levels. Xena Systems, based in the UK, says a big benefit of the product is freeing up of tower crane time on busy sites.
