Enerpac's Next Generation SBL1100 hydraulic gantry

USA-Based Enerpac has launched the Next Generation SBL1100 hydraulic gantry. Its range of features includes wide roller tracks to minimise footprint pressure and to eradicate wheel spin.

Self-contained hydraulics in each gantry creates an uncluttered work area, requiring only a three-phase power connection, Enerpac says. The three-stage, 39 foot, 4½ inch (12 metre) sectional telescopic octagonal boom is fabricated from high-strength steel. It offers enhanced resistance to deflection due to an increased cross section and greater stage overlap provides more stability, says the manufacturer.

Stability is also enhanced by smaller clearances between boom sections, which also provides more side-load tolerance. Two-speed operation, a standard feature, helps with accurate load placement.

The SBL1100 can be operated locally at each leg, but the Intellilift remote control is also a standard feature. The 2.4 GHz multi-channel wireless remote automatically changes channels to avoid interference but, for situations where wireless is not permitted, an RS-485 cable connection is also provided.

The remote control enhances safety by providing automatic synchronisation of lifting and travel and overload and stroke alarms. The SBL1100 meets or exceeds all requirements of the ANSI/ASME B30.1 safety standard, adds the manufacturer.
