Hartela outsources cranes to Ramirent

Finnish contractor Hartela has signed a five-year co-operation agreement with rental company Ramirent in Finland to outsource its fleet of tower cranes.
In addition, the companies said the deal covered “the whole assortment of machines and services from Ramirent”. As part of the agreement, the companies said three Hartela employees would move to Ramirent.
Hartela CEO Hanna Kolehmainen said, “We have been evaluating different alternatives for developing our fleet management and we have now decided to outsource our tower crane operation. With this agreement we look forward to continuing our successful equipment rental cooperation with Ramirent.”
And Anna Hyvönen, executive vice president of Ramirent Finland, added, “Hartela is a family-owned construction company with long traditions in the history of Finnish construction.
“We have co-operated for a long time and with this fleet outsourcing and cooperation agreement we can further deepen our relation with Hartela. Both parties, have high expectations for this new stage in our co-operation.”
The news followed a string of recent deals from Ramirent, including a three-year agreement with Sweden-based Skanska Maskin that makes Ramirent its preferred equipment rental partner, and a separate three-year agreement in Norway with Scandinavian contractor Veidekke.
