Haulotte launches mast crawler

Haulotte has extended its vertical mast range, with the new Star 6 Crawler.

The crawling system not only enables the mast to go over the roughest terrains, but also significantly reduces the ground pressure, which is essential for driving on sensitive floors. It operates both indoor and outdoors, up to 6m working height, and is ideal for applications, including maintenance, finishing work, landscaping, sporting and other events.

The electric powered machine can handle slopes up to 25%, thanks to a mobile axis on the intermediate oscillating rollers that provides its rough terrain capabilities. The machine can also be used on any kind of flat surface and particularly suited for working on fragile floors, with its low ground pressure. The mast also provides stability with its 200kg load capacity, enabling two operators to work indoors. For a better comfort and efficiency, a 40cm basket extension offers an extra outreach.

Its AC motors provide high torque and with its narrow turning radius, operators can manoeuvre in the most confined spaces.

Haulotte has added numerous practical details to the Star 6 Crawler, including a non-skid step integrated into the machine’s design and a swing door entry gate to allow a safe entry. The vibration-proof rubber buffers under the platform ensure smooth lowering, while the ergonomic control box means all controls are accessible with one hand. It also has forklift pockets so that it can be lifted lengthwise.

A maintenance free mast is designed to reduce downtime costs and all components are protected against water and are easily accessible. The Star 6 Crawler is also equipped with AGM batteries and asynchronous motors which require no regular maintenance, while the mast’s simple architecture with no chain and no cable minimises risks of breakage. The tracks and charger plug are also protected from shocks as they are located inside the chassis frame. In addition, operators can access the manufacturer’s Activ’Screen functions with the Haulotte Diag app.
