Linden Comansa's PowerLift system provides 10% added rated capacity

Linden Comansa has launched its PowerLift system to improve the load chart of its tower cranes by 10% with reduced speeds.

The system will be introduced into the LC500, LC1100, LC1600, LC2100 and LC3000 series', allowing the cranes to lift higher loads at longer radius. It works by automatically reducing the speed of the trolley, to occasionally allow the crane the extra rated capacity for certain types of work.

"This system does not provide the crane with a bigger maximum load capacity, but allows a 10% increase in the rated load that appears in the load charts up to the maximum load according to the data sheet."

The Spanish manufacturer provides an example: the 18 tonne capacity 21 LC 400 flat top tower crane, with 80 m of jib, can achieve a load of 18,000 kg up to 16.6 m reach. With the PowerLift system, the crane will be able to load 18,000 kg to a reach of 18 m. In standard configuration the model can carry up to 3,000 kg at the jib end, but with the PowerLift system that is increased to 3,300 kg.
