IRN/ERA launch European 'Rental Tracker’

02 June 2009

International Rental News (IRN) and the European Rental Association (ERA) are jointly launching a quarterly rental confidence tracker to monitor business sentiment in Europe’s rental sector.

The first tracker survey will be launched in mid-June - covering the second quarter of the year - and will aim to provide rental managers with good quality data on business confidence for Europe and for key rental markets including Scandinavia, the UK, France, Germany and Spain.

The survey is open to all rental companies in Europe and not just ERA members.

“The aim is simply to provide the rental industry in Europe with reliable information that will allow rental companies to assess how markets are performing in Europe and provide early warning of business trends”, said Murray Pollok, IRN’s editor.

The survey will be completed online, with over 5000 questionnaire’s e-mailed to European rental companies. All data will be treated confidentiality and used anonymously, for the survey only.

Gerard Deprez, president of the ERA, speaking at the ERA’s annual convention in Manchester, said the Rental Tracker was one of the association’s priorities for 2009/10 and he urged ERA members to participate.
