International Rental Exhibition (IRE) dates announced for 2014

12 November 2012

The International Rental Exhibition (IRE) returns to the Amsterdam RAI exhibition centre in June 2014, but this time it will be held concurrently with the established APEX aerial platform show.

The dates of IRE are 24-26 June, 2014 and the show will again have the support of the European Rental Association (ERA), which will hold its annual convention during the exhibition.

IRE will benefit by being held concurrently with the successful APEX access event, which is moving from its long-time Maastricht home to Amsterdam for the first time in 2014. Visitors to each show will have access to the adjoining exhibition, meaning that IRE will benefit from the presence of rental company delegates who make up the majority of APEX visitors.

IRE also benefits from the support of the ERA, whose members include many of Europe’s largest rental companies.

ERA secretary general, Michel Petitjean, said a dedicated rental industry show "will allow purchase managers of rental companies to discover products customised for rental, and get to know innovative suppliers of all sizes which they may not be familiar with.

“IRE and APEX will benefit from increased visitors numbers from both exhibitions. ERA strongly encourages all rental companies to save the date of the next IRE and plan to be present at both the show and the ERA Convention.

"ERA also encourages all suppliers with a strong focus on the rental industry to consider exhibiting at the IRE show and to use this occasion to meet and exchange with their (prospect) clients.”

Tony Kenter, managing director of show organizer IPI, said; “We are looking forward to a great event in 2014. The ERA is forecasting that 2014 will be the year when Europe’s rental sector starts to grow again, so the show will be well timed.

“The fact that we are adding APEX alongside IRE will only be an advantage, since the majority of APEX visitors are in the rental sector. The two shows make perfect companions .”

This will be the third time that the IRE show will be held, each time at the Amsterdam RAI. The first event was held in 2008 and the second took place in 2011.
