Briggs & Stratton Germany has appointed Johannes Böhlau as its new Business Development Manager for Rental and Electrification, EMEA.

The company’s Senior Director of Sales and Marketing EMEA, Florian Mayer, said he was delighted to welcome Böhlau on board and that his passionate approach would help the  business to grow in its target markets.

Mayer added, “We are confident that his technical understanding and customer focus will enable us to accelerate the growth of new Vanguard product and service innovations in the European rental market and driving the expansion of our electrification strategy.”

Described by the engine manufacturer as having strong business and sales experience, Böhlau will be responsible for pushing forward the company’s presence in the electrification sector. Working from the company’s base in Viernheim, Germany, he will also focus on developing opportunities in the rental market.

Speaking of his new role, Böhlau said, “I’m excited about the increased focus on the rental market and electrification. We have many new innovations to bring to market; these include products designed to lower TCO and reduce the environmental impact of rental fleets, which will allow professionals get work done more efficiently and productively.”

Prior to his position at Briggs & Stratton, Böhlau previously worked as a Business Development Specialist for Stanley Black & Decker in Germany.
