Kässbohrer launches construction trailers

Ulm, Germany-based trailer manufacturer Kässbohrer has launched four new trailers all aimed at construction sector. The trailers are: the K.TAN; the K.SPA MR 3; the K.SLA R 4; and the K.SLH 4.

The K.TAN drawbar series trailer has a tare weight starting at 5.5 tonnes. This, Kässbohrer said, helps increase the payload capacity plus provide fuel savings on unloaded journeys. The K.TAN P 1+2 has various lashing rings available, 2 x 2 rows of vertical pillar pockets, and pillar pockets on the side raves.

The K.SPA MR 3 is a three-axle extendable low-bed platform semi-trailer designed for the transportation of long, heavy loads. Its chassis is made of S700MC steel and its tare weight is 10 tonnes. The wheel recess platform has a height of 620 mm; this, Kassbohrer explained, enables the transportation of loads up to 3,380 mm. The chassis extends up to 6,900 mm. The vehicle has various load fixing points and the 4 x 2 rows of vertical pillar pockets and pillar pockets on the side raves are EUMOS certified. The vehicle can be equipped with optional extras including axle lifting, galvanisation, rear and front gooseneck ramps.

The K.SLA R 4 was designed for the transportation of heavy loads such as construction machinery or ballast. It is a four-axle extendable low-bed semi-trailer. The chassis is made of S700MC steel and has a tare weight of 13.25 tonnes. Available with wheel recess as standard, K.SLA R 4 has lashing rings, 3 x 2 rows of vertical pillar pockets and pillar pockets on the side raves.

The fourth new trailer is the K.SLH 4. It is a four-axle trailer with an extendable, hydraulically-steered low-bed. According to Kässbohrer, it was designed to provide good degree of manoeuvrability so that it can negotiate tight turns in rural areas. The trailer extends up to 6,200 mm. It has a platform height of 875 mm and a tare weight of 13 tonnes and an axle load rating of 12 tonnes. Options to minimise maintenance cost and increase the trailer’s life are also available, Kässbohrer added.
