09 July 2009

German rental company Mateco has bought the Kühne Arbeitsbühnen rental company from its owner Mr Michael Kühne, who retires after many years in the business.

Mateco takes on Kühne's 170 access platforms plus a trained and motivated technical workforce and adds two new facilities in Kassel and Goettingen.

Kühne Arbeitsbühnen and Mateco have been cooperative business partners for several years. Armin Rappen a Mateco executive board member said, "Of outstanding importance for our customers is the high quality of customer service in the Central German area, which marks out Kühne Arbeitsbühnen in the regional market. The numerous special machines in the fleet are no less important."

Mateco believes that Kühne Arbeitsbühnen's customers will also benefit from a larger selection of work platforms for almost any targeted application, high levels of technical service and country wide availability.
