Mtandt to distribute Web Deck

WEB Systems International's suspended access WEB Deck system

India-based Mtandt Group has been appointment as the official distributor for specialist access equipment manufacturer Web Systems International (WSI).

The new partnership, which is designed to strengthen WSI’s presence in the Indian market, will see Mtandt offer the manufacturer’s suspended access system, Web Deck.

Scotland-based WSI’s flagship product, Web Deck provides a stable working platform that allows workers to access the underside of bridges, jetties, pipe racks, conveyor systems and other associated structures.

Gopal Modi, director of Mtandt, said, “Introducing Web Systems to the Indian market is, in many ways, a game changer for companies who wish to improve the standard of safety for their employees working at height.”

According to Mtandt, which is based near Chennai in the south of India, Web Deck allows site technicians to undertake critical bridge repair works, including concrete coating, steel bridge welding and installing pipework, without worrying about safety.

Installed by rope access professionals, the system is said to reduce assembly time and costs by up to 50% compared to conventional bridge deck scaffolding. Web Deck can be used without the risk of adding enough load that could lead to the failure of an unstable bridge, said the company.
