Japanese MEWP manufacturer Nagano Industries has appointed the Netherlands-based Pfeifer Heavy Machinery as one of its dealers for European and global markets.

The partnership represents a new emphasis on European growth by the manufacturer and follows its recent signing of other dealers, including Vertimac in Belgium and Arbeitsbuhnen Becker in Germany.

Nagano first made contact with used cranes and powered access machinery specialist Pfeifer in December 2017. It was followed by a tour of the Pfeifer facilities in Groenlo.

A Nagano spokesman said, “We met the technical staff who showed us that they have good technical knowledge and understanding of all access machinery brands. So we had no concerns about their technical ability to support our brand.

“Gerrit Pfeifer and his team are very driven and we are certain they will achieve great results for Nagano, not only in Europe but on the global stage too”.

Nagano has nearly 50 years’ experience in research and design, and manufacturing of construction machinery.

Speaking about the partnership Pfeifer commented, “It became clear that Nagano and Pfeifer could be strong partners for both European and global markets. Following our visit to Nagano Headquarters in Japan and seeing their production facilities we were very impressed. Their current and future products of tracked aerial work platforms would be the perfect offering to our global customers, and their respective areas of expertise.”

The partnership was made official with a traditional Japanese ceremony and the signing of the dealer agreement. “We are proud to be affiliated with Nagano and look forward to a bright future together,” added Pfeifer.
