A SportPesa Racing Point F1 team engineer puts the new JCB tools to the test

JCB Tools has been named an official supplier of the F1 team SportPesa Racing Point

The engineering team at JCB Tools worked with the JCB Industrial Design team at the company’s global headquarters in Staffordshire, UK, to produce the range.

It includes tools with brushless motors, meaning that energy is not lost due to friction from carbon brushes. This improves performance and reduces the number of wearable parts, making them more durable. It also helps to make operation quieter.

The tools are powered by lithium-ion batteries providing a range of kit options from 2Ah through to 5Ah. This technology allows the tools to be used for prolonged periods while remaining mobile. Also, the range is powered by a single battery solution across all products in order to maximise flexibility.

The team has also developed a range of accessories under the name of Diamondtech. The diamond-tipped hole saws can be used for drilling delicate and costly materials such as grade 5 porcelain, ceramic and granite.
