Louis Huys Special Transport and Crane Rental has taken delivery of a new truck mounted with a 365 tonne-metre loader crane.

The crane is from Turkish crane manufacturer Erkin World Power. The Volvo FM 500 10x4 truck was supplied by Volvo Trucks dealer Nebim in Venlo, Netherlands.

Wim Huys, Louis Huys director, said, “Volvo Trucks has played a great role in the development of this truck. It is for us a totally new concept, which constitutes a major expansion for lifting under roof. You have to think about moving machines or complete production lines.”

The type ER-365 000L-8 loader crane has maximum lifting height of 53 metres. For road travel the crane boom is lowered on top of the extra low cab. Extra ballast and a fly-jib can be transported on a trailer where necessary.

Huys added, “The crane has a huge capacity, allowing us to work indoors or outdoors with heavy weights. Ultimately, it has become one of our specialties, which we combine horizontal and vertical transport.”
