UK access platform manufacturer, Niftylift is extending its reach into the Far and Middle East regions with distributors and sales in Singapore, Hong Kong, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Damascus.

Bryan Chew the general manager of Modern (Singapore) Access + Equipment Pte Ltd has confirmed an order for three Nifty machines which include the HR17NE battery-only, self-propelled machine, the HR18 4x4 diesel with a 300 kg capacity platform and the HR21 4x4 diesel machine.

Jim Craddock, Niftlift's international sales manager, said that the three machines have been sold to the Resort World Sentosa project in Singapore, "This sale represents a significant breakthrough in terms of market presence in Singapore. It has taken a long time to get Nifty's accepted in the Singapore market and we have only succeeded with the help and enthusiasm of the Modern Singapore team," he said.

"Modern (Singapore) is a recently appointed Nifty dealer and this development, along with the overall purchase of 10 Nifty machines which include the HR12NDE and the 170SD will also elevate our market presence and customer awareness."

Geoffrey Lee, the general manager of the well established parent company, Modern (International) Access and Scaffolding Ltd based in Hong Kong, has also purchased and placed a similar number of Nifty HR12's and 170SD's into their Hong Kong rental fleet during the last couple of years, to complement their large Genie rental fleet, with a possible view of inclusion in their three depots in Mainland China

In the Middle East Niftylift has appointed GET (Gulf Equipment + Technology), as their exclusive dealer in Bahrain following discussions with GET's General Manager, Saurabh Pande. This has culminated with GET confirming orders covering a H17NE for the new Riffa Views Golf Club and a HR21 4x4 for the Bahrain Exhibition Centre.

Mr Craddock said that this development was excellent news for Niftylift in this relatively small Arabian Gulf market, since professional dealers experienced in the AWP business and providing the necessary service and back-up required are very limited.

GET's dealerships include JCB, Dynapac, Atlas Copco and Alimak HEK, until recently the company was an UpRight dealer.

In Qatar Dutest Qatar WLL, a specialist Crane and Lifting engineering company, operating within the Teyseer Group of companies has been confirmed as a Nifty dealer.

Dutest confirmed orders covering three Nifty N170 battery powered trailers destined for Qatar Airways and the large Fun City development plus a stock machine.

Niftylift had previously worked with QFAB in Qatar, who had previously purchased a number of Nifty Trailers and Self Propelled Booms for their rental fleet and also for re-sale,

Further orders have been confirmed by Nifty's Saudi Arabian dealer, Saleh + Abdulaziz Abahsain, based in Al Khobar, including HR15 4x4's and HR12NDE's along with a further order placement by Al Laith Scaffolding, based in Dubai for aHR21 2x4 Bi Energy machine and a HR15NDE.

The HR21 2x4 machine ordered by Tim Richards of Al Laith is the first 21 m Bi-Energy machine purchased by Al Laith for their rental fleet.

Niftylift's recently appointed dealer Top Projects Company based in Damascus, Syria has also confirmed orders for a leading Syrian contracting company of two HR17 4x4 and two HR21 4x4 rough terrain machines with a hot climate package.

Jim Craddock said that the recent appointments of GET in Bahrain and Dutest in Qatar virtually completes the Nifty dealership network, in the Saudi Arabian and Arabian Gulf markets.

"The forthcoming BIG 5 exhibition in Dubai will enable Niftylift to also meet existing and potential dealers and end-users on Al Laith Scaffolding's exhibition stand and hospitality areas," he said. "Niftylift has seen a marked increase in business from the Middle and Far East markets over the last 12 months, due to the appointments of new dealers and with the added help of the weaker Pound Sterling having a desired effect."
