Paclite launches its first lighting tower

France-based Paclite Equipment has entered the lighting tower market with a 4 x 1000 W metal halide, manual winch model designed for African and Middle East markets. A European version, with LED lamps, will be available soon.
The new PL4000W uses European-sourced components including GEWISS lamps, a Lombardini 10 kW engine, and a Mecc Alte alternator, along with hoods supplied from the US. The units are pre-assembled in Singapore by its parent company Uni-corp before shipping to Paclite in France for final assembly.
Kent Gorsun, managing director of Paclite, told IRN that the company has already shipped around 600 units to customers in the Middle East and Africa, and that a European version, with hydraulic mast and LED lamps, was being prepared for launch.
Mr Gorsun said Paclite’s intention was not to add to an already crowded lighting tower sector, but to provide its customers with a one stop shop for light compaction and concreting equipment. The company now offers a wide array of light compaction and concreting equipment, including power trowels, plate compactors, and the recently introduced 1.2 m wide Roadmaster 1200 tandem roller.
He told IRN that the product development phase was now complete, and that the focus was on consolidating and improving on the current range; “The range is a projection of what I wanted to have five years ago…now we can optimise the range,” he said.
“We are posting profits every year and investing back into the business”, said Mr Gorsun, “We’re actually doing quite well, despite the difficult times.”
