Palazzani announces spider crane details

Italy-based Palazzani Industrie has released details about its first spider crane. The tracked platform specialist announced its plans to enter the mini crane market, with the RPG 2900.

The new model has a lifting capacity of 2.9 tonnes at 1.5m outreach. It offers dual power capabilities, with a diesel ngine + AC electric motor for 380V or 230V, allowing it to operate indoors and outdoors

Maximim lift height is 9.5m, with the standard boom and 13.6m, with 600kg lifting capacity, when using the hydraulic jib. Thanks to its stabilizers with variable set-up, the stowed dimensions and reduced weight, RPG 2900 is a flexible, the model is the only one in its category to offer a pick and carry function, said the manufacturer.

The RPG 2900 incorporates intuitive operator software, accessible from the 4.3inch colour display on the remote control unit. Safety features also include self-loading, home funstion and working areas limitations.

Finally, the RPG 2900 can be ordered with a wide range of attachments, including jibs, vacuums, rotating magnets, magnetic hooks, forks and hook grabs, among others .
