QT Equipment will sell, distribute and assemble UK-based Penny Hydraulics' Swing Lift vehicle mounted cranes in the USA, under a new agreement.

The USA-based commercial vehicle supplier will initially sell cranes manufactured in the UK by Penny Hydraulics. In the future it will manufacture and assemble cranes under license in the USA using designs and components supplied by Penny Hydraulics.

"Customers in the USA are becoming more aware of the need for safe and efficient load handling when using their commercial vehicles and we see huge potential for this market," said Bill Penney, QT Equipment articulated cranes sales manager.

QT Equipment serves construction, utilities and oil exploration companies by adapting vehicles to include specialist performance capabilities. Penny Hydraulics' Swing Lift cranes are designed for handling loads up to 2 tonnes. They can be installed on almost any kind of commercial vehicle.

"Around four million commercial vehicles in the 1 - 18 tonne range are sold in the USA each year," said Richard Short, Penny Hydraulics sales director. "This is the type of vehicle where our cranes are typically installed. With QT Equipment we have a new partner that understands our business and has access to a market that is ready for our type of product."
