Pyeroy grows in offshore sector

Industrial services company Pyeroy is providing scaffolding, powered access and rope access services to support the fabrication of a 700t jacket and 550t topside module being built for energy operator Centrica.

HFG (the Heerema Fabrication Group), is completing the new Ensign offshore platform at its Hartlepool yard.

More than 20 Pyeroy operatives are onsite at the Hartlepool yard providing access systems to help Heerema engineers to safely and quickly complete work on the 70m high structure.

The new 1250t Seaharvester-type platform will be installed in the new Ensign gas field, which lies 80km off the UK's Norfolk coast and is scheduled to come on stream during the second half of 2011.

Additional access services to support the platform's offshore hook-up later this month (July) will also be provided by Pyeroy specialists.

Pyeroy is also providing access to support the hook-up of the Sheringham Shoal Windfarm modules being installed by Statoil in the North Sea just off Harwich. This contract started at the end of May and is due for completion in early September.
