Snorkel's new A62JRT articulated boom lift will make its UK debut at the Vertikal Days exhibition in June 2012.

The A62JRT is a self-propelled articulated boom, with a maximum platform height of 19m (62ft), which will go into production later this year. It replaces the Snorkel AB60JRT, offering the company said, "significantly improved drive and lift capabilities - particularly 'up-and-over' clearance - and a 100% reduction in tail swing compared to the older model."

Designed for rough terrain applications, the A62JRT shares a common chassis with Snorkel's 46ft and 66ft telescopic booms, helping to simplify service and repair work. Notable features are the up-and-over clearance of 9m (29ft 6ins) and a large platform cage of 2.4m x 1.0m (96ins X 39ins). When stowed the unit is compact at 8.5m (27ft 10ins) in length.

Snorkel said, "The A62JRT has the best inside turning radius of any two-wheel-steer machine in its class. The interactive oscillating front axle, with hydrostatic 4WD keeps all four tyres in contact with the ground, for excellent rough terrain drive performance - and works whether the machine is stowed or elevated."
