Speaker line-up confirmed for May 11’s ConTech summit

Senior figures in construction technology will discuss the industry’s continuing shift to autonomy

The drive towards autonomy in construction will be discussed at KHL’s first Construction Technology Summit, to air virtually on May 11.

Senior figures from the manufacturing, contracting and advanced technology sectors have now been confirmed for the conference.

Within its theme, From Machine Control to Robotics, the event will deliver a roadmap for construction that will include the latest remote-control technology, autonomous equipment, artificial intelligence and robotic systems.

The organisers are keen to point out, however, that the debate will be anything but science fiction, with the majority of the technology to be discussed already on the market, much of it being utilised within construction sites.

The speakers for the event are as follows:

Fred Rio, product manager Construction Industries Digital & Technology at Caterpillar
James Arnold, advanced technology manager for US-based contractor Goodfellow Bros
Johan Holmén, deputy CTO and manager of vehicle development for Volvo Autonomous Solutions
Peter Lavery, head of digital transformation for Highways with Balfour Beatty
Travis Schneider, business development manager at RE2 Robotics

The Construction Technology Summit 2021 will commence at 9am (USA: CST), 3pm (UK:BST) and 4pm (EU: CET) on Tuesday, May 11, 2021.
