UAB AGRATEKAS TO DISTRIBUTE MAEDA

04 March 2008

Distribution of Maeda mini cranes in Latvia and Lithuania will be handled by UAB Agratekas.

Agratekas operates throughout the Baltic region and will offer the Maedas from Kranlyft for sale and rent as an addition to its existing plant and agricultural machinery business.

Arturas Andrekus, Agratekas director, said, “Myself and my staff are absolutely delighted to become a distributor for this very exciting quality product range. Already, potential clients have responded positively to this appointment and we are confident that we can provide a service for both sales and hire depending on each client's requirements.”

Factors favouring Maeda, according to Kranlyft, include product quality and specification, Kranlyft's experience of Maedas in other European markets, and the reputation of the product in other markets.

UAB Agratekas is part of the Stronga Group and has been active in Lithuania since 2001. A new depot in Latvia will open in early 2008 and will offer the same full programme as currently presented from the depot at Mazeikiai, Lithuania.

John Baxter, based in the UK and part of the UAB Agratekas management team commented, “Collaboration with companies like Kranlyft is exactly the direction our business wants to take especially with a quality product range for which there is a real demand due to its flexibility and design. From my knowledge of the market and the uses of this machine in, for example, the UK, I can see a tremendous future for the same in Lithuania and Latvia.”
