Auxiliary firefighters were tackling a blaze in a house in the village of Takern II, Austria, when an UpRight TL37 trailer mounted boom passed through.

Fire officers were able to use the platform to make a safe assessment of the fire in the upper storeys of the building, which allowed them to extinguish the flames more quickly. Fortunately, no one was inside the house at the time.

The TL37 is a demo machine which belongs to UpRight's Austrian distributor, PPK, which is based in St Margarethen, near to Takern II.

Gerald Pein of PPK said, "This was very much a case of us being in the right place at the right time, which demonstrates the unique capabilities of a trailer-mounted boom lift.

"PPK is proud to have supported the firefighters and helped in a small manner to extinguish a dangerous fire in the safest possible way."
