Italian crane rental company Vernazza Autogru has ordered two 90 tonne-class RT 90 rough terrain cranes from manufacturer Terex.

The RT 90 lifts 87 tonnes at a 2.5 metre radius. It has a 47 metre five-section telescopic boom and a maximum system length with jib of 64 m. There are three boom modes and a two part folding jib. The outriggers can be set at different extension positions. Terex said there is an enhanced control system with integrated diagnostics, a redesigned cab that can tilt up to 18 degrees, and a flat deck for improved visibility.

Power is from a straight six Cummins QSB6.7 diesel with a choice of 164 kW Stage IIIA / Tier 3 or 168 kW Stage 4 / Tier IV final versions according to market.

Stefania D’Apoli, Terex Cranes senior sales manager, said, “We understand that every project is different, and the ability to position and rig quickly on the job is vital to our customers’ success.”

Delivery is scheduled for February 2018.
