Webinar on safety programme essentials

14 March 2013

Building a successful safety programme for crane and rigging companies is a complex process. A webinar presented by Daniel Erwin, corporate safety director, TNT Crane & Rigging in the USA will discuss the latest changes in regulatory requirements and technologies that a company should include in its safety programme.

Erwin will also cover how to report safety and accident data to ensure that your organisation consistently and accurately reflects your safety performance experience. Correct reporting is critical because it will affect a company’s worker’s compensation and business insurance rates. In addition, many prospective crane and rigging clients are using safety performance information to determine which companies can bid on a project.

Erwin will conclude with a discussion on how to turn your company’s safety performance requirements and training programmes for employees into a “living” safety culture with employee buy-in.

In his career as a construction safety professional Erwin has performed safety audits and managed worker’s compensation and emergency preparedness issues. He also maintains safety records for regulatory agencies, as well as develops, monitors and implements safety training and operational programmes.

At the end of his webinar presentation Erwin will take questions from participants.

The webinar will be on 20 March 2013 at 12 p.m. US Eastern Time. It is free for SC&RA members and US$49 for non-members. Register at: https://www2.scranet.org/core/events/events.aspx or www.scranet.org
