A-Plant in 400 unit fleet investment

UK rental company A-Plant has bolstered its fleet with an investment in 400 new machines manufactured by Terex, Bobcat and Thwaites.

The company said it had placed an order worth £1 million (€1.4 million) with Terex for hydraulic breakers, roller breakers and trailers.

From Bobcat, it bought almost £0.8 million (€1.1 million) worth of equipment, the bulk of which was spent on 8.5 tonne operating weight Bobcat E85 reduced tail swing tracked excavators, while a number of tracked skid-steer loaders were also ordered.

And from Thwaites, A-Plant said it ordered site dumpers with capacities of 1.3 tonnes and 6 tonnes.

The company, which is owned by Ashtead Group, said the latest deals formed one of the largest investment programmes it had ever undertaken.
