A-Plant invests in Kubota excavators

29 September 2015

To meet increasing demand for plant equipment, A-Plant has placed its largest ever single order with Kubota UK for almost 100 excavators valued at over £3 million (€4.2 million).

The order comprises 0.8 t micro excavators, 1.5 t mini excavators and tracked excavators ranging from 2.5 t to 8 t.

It includes a number of new machines to the A-Plant fleet, including the 8 t KX080-4 machine, which is powered by a new Stage IIIB/Tier 4 compliant direct injection diesel engine and comprises a host of safety features. It is classed as a Roll Over Protection Structure and a Falling Object Protection Structure.

Other machines new to A-Plant fleet include the 6 t U55-4 light tail swing compact excavator and the 3 t U27-4 towable zero tail swing compact excavator.

A total of 40 of Kubota’s new 1.5 t KX016-4 mini excavators have also been purchased. With a wider working range that rivals larger excavators, the KX016-4 allows enhanced accessibility to road sites and residential areas, making it ideal for utilities contracts.

Marketing director Asif Latief said: “This order we have ever placed with Kubota UK in all our years of trading and it reflects their excellent build quality, innovative features and operator confidence in the machines.

“With the new fleet on board, we are even better equipped to meet the needs of all our customers from national accounts to local and regional players.”

All the new machines are equipped with the Kubota anti-theft system.
