Abird opens Middlesborough depot

10 March 2013

UK-based Abird Generator Hire has opened a new depot in Middlesborough to serve customers in the North East of England. The new depot replaces a smaller base in Durham.

Abird supplies temporary power, lighting towers, secure units, fuel tanks and cables. Acquired by the UK’s HSS Hire Service Group in 2012, Abird’s expansion and investment in the North East forms part of a wider growth programme for the company.

“Abird is a growing business and this move is part of an exciting investment and expansion phase of the company", said Chris Anspack, managing director at Abird.

"Our generators meet demanding industrial standards for a strong, quiet and reliable temporary power – the new depot will mean fantastic kit with an improved local service for the region.”
