Aequimast Italia, the Italian aerial platform dealer that last year became representative for Worldlift Industries and PB Lifttechnik, has added Niftylift to its product line up, becoming exclusive distributor for Niftylift.
Niftylift had been using Leader as its Italian dealer, before it became a full-line UpRight dealer. Since then, Nifty has been looking for a new representative.
Aequimast is a two year old company based in Turin and co-owned by Giangaetano Mastrota and Filippo Civran. The two are pictured at SAIE with Niftylift's Jim Craddock.
Mr Mastrota told AI that rental companies were not spending much, "but they are looking for special types of machines." He said a particular target would be trailer mounts, and that Niftylift's range up to 21 m would fit well with the Denka branded trailers from Worldlift that reach 30 m.
In the self-propelled sector, Mr Mastrota said Nifty's 17 and 21 m articulated booms would be the focus.
Also in Aequimast's line is the PopUp range of push around scissors and the new owners of Cela have appointed them to be their dealer in the Piamonte, Valle D'aosta and Liguria regions of Italy.
Mr Mastrota admitted that this was not the best time to start in business, he said, "This must be the bottom so the only way is better - knowing it's a tough time I learn from my grandfather and take little steps."
Before setting up in business on his own Mr Mastrota had worked at the access rental company set up by his grandfather.
