Pop–Up Products has launched a slightly higher version of its Pop–Up scissor lift. The Pop–Up Plus has a working height of 4.6 m, which is 1 m higher then the original model, and uses a bigger scissor pack, a larger hydraulic ram and wheels, and manually positioned outriggers. The footprint of the new machine is slightly longer at 1200 by 700 mm, and it weighs 275 kg. Nigel Woodger, managing director of Pop–Up, told AI that it had sold 1250 of the smaller Pop–Ups and shipped 60 units – its first exports – to the Netherlands at the end of January. Scandinavia and Germany are next, according to Mr Woodger, and France and Belgium will follow. The Plus version has a list price of £4500 (€6800) and both models are made in China.
