AJ Access acquires platform fleet of Carlisle Access
01 March 2013
Used platform specialist AJ Access Platforms has acquired the access rental fleet of Carlisle Access, comprising a mixed fleet of 70 self-propelled, trailer mounted and truck mounted platforms.
AJ Access said the majority of the machines are 2011 and 2012 models, a mix of mainly Genie booms and scissors, Niftylift trailers and self propelled Height Riders, Haulotte Star 10s and CTE truck mounts, as well as some JLG equipment.
“We are pleased to have reached a deal on this equipment, which is in particularly good condition with the largest proportion of machines being 2011 and 2012 vintage with low hours” said AJ Access’ UK sales manager Richard Onslow. The equipment will be sold on to AJ Access` UK and overseas customers.
AI understands that Carlisle Access has not ceased trading but has withdrawn from the powered access market. The company was based east of Carlisle and operated in Cumbria, Northumberland and South West Scotland in the UK.
“This type of deal is right up our street” said AJ Access managing director, Tony Mort. It follows on from previous acquisitions from SGB Powered Access, Lloyds British Access Fleet, Cox Hire and Skylift.
