UAE-based Al Faris Equipment Rental has ordered 17 Liebherr cranes for delivery to its depot in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, as the rental firm prepares to expand in the kingdom.

Al Faris has purchased more than 60 Liebherr mobile cranes for its Jubail operations since opening in Saudi Arabia last year. The new order for 17 more will be delivered by March 2013 as the company works towards opening a second depot in the Western Region of the country.

Al Faris Equipment Rental opened its depot and workshop facility in Jubail in 2011, initially equipping it with a fleet of 20 Liebherr mobiles transferred from Dubai plus 11 new models.

Today, with a fleet of more than 60 Liebherrs in Jubail, the extra 17 units will be delivered through the remainder of 2012 and into the first two months of 2013.

Al Faris was established in 1992 to provide cranes and transportation for the oil and gas industries throughout the UAE. It has one of the largest fleets of mobile cranes in the Middle East with more than 360 units.
