All Erection & Crane Rental ordered a Grove GMK5225 all terrain at ConExpo

All Erection & Crane Rental Corporation, in the US, has fortified its fleet with the purchase of Manitowoc's new 225 US ton (201 tonne) Grove GMK5225 all terrain.

It was part of a multiple order during the ConExpo exhibition in March, including an undisclosed number of five-axle, 115 ton (103 tonne) GMK5115s that were also display at the Las Vegas-based show.

Michael Liptak, All Erection & Crane Rental president, said the company often purchased first-off-the-line models. "This proactive stance strengthens the All Family of Companies' ability to take care of its customers by specifying the right type of crane for every job. The 5225 and 5115 fulfil our commitment to the continuous upgrading of our fleet."

The GMK5225 has a 210 foot (64 m) boom length and a maximum tip height of 328 feet (100 m), with jib extensions. It features an Allison transmission and Cummins engine. The GMK5115 provides the strongest load chart in its class and enough reach to erect a tower crane, commented Liptak. "These two models let us offer customers versatile options that meet a wide range of applications and a variety of road regulations."
