AMW's access designs for sale

07 March 2008

South African company AMW Services is seeking to sell manufacturing licenses for its access and crane designs.

The access products include Over-Rider, a 13 m working height, trailer mounted articulated boom and a 10m working height, trailer mounted articulated boom - vehicle mounted versions of these machines are also are available- and Vertilift, a 7 m scissor lift.

Working for the last 25 years in South Africa and prior to that in the UK, AMW has produced a range of designs related to access and crane equipment. The company said that in some cases its products provide a one off solution to a particular problem and in others they meet an anticipated general demand. Although AMW's designs have been influenced by local requirements international standards have been kept in mind.

The company has not involved itself with large scale manufacture concentrating on developing new concepts which are taken through prototype manufacture by a local subcontract company.

Ron Wooll, owner and the brains behind the designs said, "Ideally we would like to sell a manufacturing licence for each product in particular territories or sell the complete design and manufacture package. These products would have considerable appeal in Australia, New Zealand, India, China, the Middle East and South America."

AMW Services can be contacted on amw@globalsa.com.
